Atlanta offers 500,000 $ in marketing funds for African airlines✈️ that start flights to Hartsfield

 In 2023 Atlanta city leaders approved a new 5 year 1.2 Million $ annual incentive program that offers 500,000 $ in matching marketing funds for African airlines✈️ that start new flights to Hartsfield – Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Hartsfield – Jackson Atlanta International Airport (Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A) - the World's busiest Airport. Hartsfield is looking to add more international flights and is willing to pay for it. The airport relaunched an incentive program to attract new international routes, focusing on Africa, South Asia and South America, with a budget of up to $1.2 million a year.

Ethiopian Airlines✈️ @flyethiopian was the first airline in Africa to start flights to Hartsfield.

Ethiopian🇪🇹 Airlines✈️ has four weekly flights from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to Hartsfield.

The airport says it will have an annual economic impact of around 70 Million🇺🇸 $

In 2023 Atlanta city leaders approved the 5 year 1.2 Million $ annual incentive program, in an effort to add new international flights. The program offers 500,000 $ in matching marketing funds for an international airline new to the airport that starts year round service to Africa or Asia. The incentive drops to 250,000$ for other continents. Current airlines can also receive cash, just smaller amounts. The airport is looking for expansion opportunities in Africa and Asia.
