Angola’s Petro De Luanda Defeats Morocco’s Fus Rabat as Kalahari Conference Group Phase Continues in Pretoria

 Petro dominated throughout the first three quarters, with FUS’ 29 points in the last 10 minutes proving not enough to turn the tide down the stretch.

 

PRETORIA, South Africa, March 15, 2024/ -- Childe Dundao scored 25 points, Aboubakar Gakou added 21 points and 10 rebounds, and Angola’s  Petro de Luanda defeated Morocco’s FUS Rabat 89-86 when the BAL’s Kalahari Conference group phase resumed at SunBet Arena in Pretoria, South Africa last night. Petro dominated throughout the first three quarters, with FUS’ 29 points in the last 10 minutes proving not enough to turn the tide down the stretch.
 
The current Kalahari Conference leader (https://apo-opa.co/3wP67QQ) FUS was led by Johnathan Jordan who finished with 18 points, six rebounds and four assists. The games in Pretoria will conclude this weekend when the home team Cape Town Tigers first take on Petro at 4 p.m. CAT on Saturday afternoon, closing the conference with a matchup against FUS at 7 p.m. CAT on Sunday night.
 
Earlier yesterday, the NBA Academy Africa team defeated Tshwane University of Technology 87-40 in a practice game at SunBet Arena.
