JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, May 19, 2022/ -- Africa’s premier event for the oil and gas industry, African Energy Week (AEW) 2022 (AECWeek.com), has officially launched the first video for its energy investment tour ahead of the event’s 2022 edition. With AEW 2022 set to take place in Cape Town from October 18-21, the video showcases what delegates, speakers and partners can expect during this year's edition, as the event drives the continent into a new era of dealmaking and growth. Representing the official platform for a discussion on Africa’s energy future, this year’s edition will take place under the theme, ‘Exploring and Investing in Africa’s Energy Future while Driving an Enabling Environment,’ centralizing all discussions around scaling up investment in current and emerging energy markets. As the continent kickstarts development across the oil, gas and renewables sectors, AEW 2022 has strategically positioned itself as the official platform to sign deals that will reshape the continent’s energy future.

During AEW 2021, a focus was placed on deals, investment and making energy poverty history – a mandate that has only become more pressing in 2022. With millions of dollars-worth of deals signed during AEW 2021, the 2022 investment drive paves the way for the 2022 edition to double this figure.
