Nigeria’s Nobel-prize winning author and Professor “ Wole Soyinka “who has taught at US universities including Yale, Harvard, and Cornell has thrown away his green card in protest of Donald Trump’s Presidency. According to AFP Wole Soyinka said “I have already done it, I have disengaged. I have done what I said I would do,”at an education conference at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa.

Soyinka had promised to rip up the green card if Donald Trump emerged victorious in the US presidential elections.
Soyinka, is the first African to win the Nobel Prize for literature in 1986. He has resided in the US for more than 20 years and is a regular teacher at prestigious universities such as Harvard, Cornell and Yale.
